The Trump administration released a list of terror attacks and victims, covering the past two years. As usual with this administration, the list is trumped-up and has plenty fake facts. The Trump administration claims the media did not gave these terror attacks enough coverage.
The media have retaliated. The UK Telegraph mentions the list “… includes many incidents which received a large amount of coverage when they took place, including he Paris attack of November 2015. … Trump’s list only includes two attacks from these countries: an attack in Karachi, Pakistan, in April 2015 that wounded one, and an attack on the Afghan capital of Kabul in June 2016 that killed 14 people. … The list instead focuses on Europe and North America.”
Of course, “media under-reporting” should probably be taken to mean US media – including Trump’s own bunch. How the local press, the national press, media writing in other languages than US English report things, likely goes unread and unseen by this government.
Regardless: this narrow focus list and the use of certain victims to underpin its ban, illustrates perfectly, the Trump administration is becoming more disgusting by the day. It is focusing on proving it is right using any means, instead of curbing terrorism throughout the world.
